For relational databases, the term "entity" typically corresponds to tables. An attribute is a part of an entity that can help determine the uniqueness of an entity.
The dimension table can be described as the schema of a star in the data warehouse—dimension tables store dimensions or attributes, which define the objects within the table of facts. In data warehouses, it is defined as an information source regarding a specific event.
