
What you would learn in Unity Third Person Parkour System course?
In this class, you'll learn how to design a third-person parkour-based system using Unity as well as C#, as well as study the most crucial game principles of programming.
We'll design an innovative third-person control system that can explore dynamic environments through parkour. It's a popular system used in modern games like Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs, etc. But the concept is present in many games from the past, such as Zelda Ocarina of Time. This is an excellent opportunity to master the core game programming techniques.
We'll build all this step by step from beginning to finish. We'll begin by creating an initial Third-person-controlled controller. We won't use any assets to build it, and we'll design it entirely from scratch as it's an excellent method to master the basics of game programming. Then, we'll build the parkour system on top of it. We'll develop an environment scanner that can detect obstacles in front of the player. We'll force the player to perform various parkour movements dynamically, based on the size and shape of the obstruction. We'll explore advanced animation techniques, such as targeting matching, that allow us to modify the same animation sequence to obstacles with different dimensions.
The parkour action will be designed with scriptable objects created in Unity to make them data-driven and can be created and modified by designers without touching the code.
You won't simply create a parkour-based system at the end of this course. However, you'll also acquire fundamental game development skills and methods that you can employ in your professional career.
