What you would learn in Mastering Software Defined Networking (SDN) course?
Welcome to this class. Networking is one of the foundations that make up OpenStack as well as OpenStack Networking was explicitly designed to facilitate the programmability of Software-Defined Networks and Software-Defined Network. Software-defined network technology is a method of managing networks that allows efficient, dynamic, and programmatically programmable network configurations to increase the performance of networks and monitoring, which makes it more similar to cloud computing than conventional network administration. OpenStack Networking has evolved from basic APIs and functions within Quantum to more sophisticated abilities in Neutron. SDN lets you program network behavior through a centrally controlled method by using software applications that use open APIs. By opening traditionally secure network platforms and creating the uniform SDN controller layer, network operators can manage the entire network and all its devices with consistency no matter the complexity of network technology.
This course will give you the basics of OpenStack Networking and SDN. After that, a series of lectures will be devoted to OpenDaylight (ODL), OpenContrail, and their integration with OpenStack Networking. The course will then introduce participants to the Open Network Operating System (ONOS), rapidly becoming a carrier-grade SDN platform.
This course will help you discover:
SDN Terms and definitions that conflict. SDN terminology and terms
What would SDN controllers be the most effective to study?
Understanding the way OVS can be used to Overlay networks.
Understanding SDN Controllers, with Architecture details and functionalities
Learn how to create ODL services that are the foundation of ODL services.
Understanding the way OpenDaylight works with OpenStack to give SDN capabilities
The understanding of OpenContrail structure and its role in how it can support essential SDN functions
