What you would learn in Low-Poly Character Modeling & Animation in Blender for Unity course?
In this class, we'll make a highly low-poly flat shaded cartoon character model using Blender. We'll create separate parts for facial features, including teeth, eyes, nose, hair, ears and clothing, helmets, armor, and melee weapons. We'll create bones and rigging to ensure it is possible to animate our model fully. Then, I'll demonstrate how to utilize the grayscale color atlas, which allows you to create any color you want within Unity. The next step is to set up the Animator state machine and create a script to allow us to alter the content of our animation at the click of a button. We'll download a couple of clips from Mixamo's website to begin.
At the end of this course, you'll have the foundation you need to construct a range of character models with Blender with the ability to change the animations as you want. I aim to help students finish the course with the skills you require to begin creating low-poly flat-shaded enemies and characters to use in your Unity game.
If this sounds like something you'd like to do independently... you're welcome to the club. I'm hoping to see you at the next class.
