There are two kinds of forms available: template-driven and reactive forms, and we will discuss both forms in depth in this course. We will also discuss their differences and the best times to use each type of form, and the reasons behind it.

Introduction to the Course

This course will begin by creating a basic form that uses template-driven forms and the model. We will be able to understand what ngModel and ngForm operate behind the scenes and the different methods to use these directives to perform data binding and form validation.

We will explore the in-depth process of creating template-driven forms and how to construct custom validation methods for forms with directives you can customize. We will then refactor the same template-driven form we created into a reactive form and evaluate both approaches.

Then, we will use reactive forms to create an even more complicated form for data entry that includes various types of control, nesting groups, controls, custom validators, Asynchronous Validators, Multi-field Validators, and form drafts that are pre-saving, and so on.

The multi-step reactive application we'll be creating will be very similar to the type of form you'd see in a production app and will allow us to demonstrate the fantastic features of reactive forms in one comprehensive step-by-step exercise.

Learn how to create reusable form nested (like one for address). We will cover the upload of files in greater detail, and we will create an individual file upload control with a progress indicator and cancellation upload features.
