What you would learn in K8s Native Java Microservices on Quarkus - 2022 Edition course?
This course is designed for developers who are acquainted with Microservices and want to integrate Microservices on Quarkus.
In the same way, Quarkus developers willing to develop micro-services may benefit by studying the material of this class. The course covers the creation of new microservices using Quarkus and deploying them in Kubernetes. Kubernetes container as images for docker or as pods.
Utilizing a mixture of concepts from the theoretical and practical code walkthroughs, developers must follow the lecture and develop during the course.
The course will begin by introducing the basics of JVM, why we need native deployable, and the usage of GraalVM. Then, we create our first micro-service based on Quarkus runtime, then test it with RestAssured, and then put it on Minikube.
The microservice we create will be able to manage all HTTP methods, including GET PUT, PUT, POST, and DELETE. In the future, we will connect with an external database.
In the next section, we construct a new microservice and add it as dependent on the previous one. We mock the service in our primary service to test the behavior, then deploy both of them in Minikube and observe the results.
We also add health checks for the health of our staff and readiness to each service and keep track of our services' health and performance.
The material for the course will serve as your guide through the process with relevant instructions, steps to execute, and references to further understand the subject.
