What you would learn in Complete JavaScript, jQuery and React Bootcamp - Hands-On course?
Welcoming to JavaScript, jQuery, and React Bootcamp. In this class, you'll learn to utilize JavaScript alongside two of the powerful JavaScript libraries to create dynamic interactivity-based web pages. The course begins with an introduction to the model of document objects (DOM), which is the design that is used to construct HTML documents. We then dive into JavaScript to show how DOM elements are modified to provide interactivity to static components. The JavaScript section begins with the basics and includes JavaScript positioning and data output. From there, we can move on to the declaration of variables and arithmetic functions, such as prioritization of operators and different data types and objects. After the fundamentals are understood, we are ready to move on to more complicated operations with Arrays and Conditional Statements: JavaScript comparison operators Booleans, loops, and other similar operations. Students will be taught how to harness the potential of JavaScript to create different outcomes depending on the user's interaction. We will examine the application of functions that efficiently manage repetitive tasks and JavaScript events to manage output based on specific actions or occurrences. The session will conclude with a hands-on activity that will allow students to apply their knowledge to design an online photo gallery and a background color change.
In the second part, the students are taught how to use jQuery, an extremely robust JavaScript library created to ease HTML trees and tree manipulation. JQuery is exceptionally lightweight as well as feature-rich and cross-platform friendly. It's among the easiest-to-use libraries for developing JavaScript features for your HTML webpage. JQuery is excellent for handling events, CSS animations, and Ajax integration to handle Asynchronous UI state modifications. Like the JavaScript segment, the module jQuery starts with the fundamentals. This covers how to embed the jQuery code into a website and an introduction to jQuery syntax. Students will learn how to use jQuery selectors, events, and toggling. Then we will explore animations with slides, fades, and the jQuery animate feature. Students will also be taught about chains, draggable objects, callback functions and getting content methods, the toggling classes, and filtering. At the end of the module, you'll be able to create beautiful animations on web pages easily.
In the final section of this course, we'll look at React, an innovative JavaScript library that allows you to build state of, cutting-edge components for user interaction. You've probably witnessed React implemented in some of the most popular web applications developed by Fortune 500 corporations. For instance, Netflix, Facebook, and AirBnB all utilize React to create their front-end user interface. Actually, React was developed by Meta and a community of independent developers. To this day, React remains free and open-source, which means that it offers lots of documentation and support.
In contrast to jQuery, which communicates with the model of the document through a single interface, React works through a "virtual" DOM. React does not know about modifications made to the DOM beyond React and makes updates using its internal representations. React is the best choice to build code blocks that can be reused to create UI components and stack them over each other to reduce the number of times the DOM must be re-drawn upon changes to its state.
The React part of the course starts with a hands-on activity where you will learn to use functional React components, including props, Callback functions, OnClick Events, and React State hook. React State hook to construct an efficient calculator. Then we'll dive into the second project, which will be constructing the connect-4 clone. In this project, we will go over advanced concepts like the passing of props and destructuring and passing arguments to events that click, different ways of styling, and how to handle callbacks. We will also cover how to use the React principal property React Lifecycle Events and rendering with conditional. At the end of the course, you'll be able to build a complete multi-player and single-player connect-4 game with integrated AI features.
In the last section of the course, we use React's power by creating an entire e-commerce website with various categories of products, a display, a shopping cart feature, and more. This section will introduce various new concepts like JSON server and Fetch API, as well as install a React router. These building blocks are essential and are utilized to render the categories of products and the product listing style and set up the page for product information. Then we will look at the styles of components, restructure the shop's layout, and investigate the notion of "context" in React. In the last stages of the project, students will design the shopping cart's basket and checkout function. We will also introduce the ability to search for products and do in-depth exercises to validate input forms using React.
As you can tell, this course covers a lot of subject matter. The best part is that it was co-written with Tim Maclachlan - a renowned senior full-stack developer with more than 20 years of experience in the field of commercial development. As a multi-faceted developer, Tim is an expert in analytical, algorithmic, and mobile application development. He has written hundreds of apps and worked in various fields, from aviation, commercial, and military to finance and banking. Tim is a true enthusiast for teaching others to improve their code writing skills and is looking forward to working in a classroom with students.
