What you would learn in Attacking and Defending the computer networks course?
This is my class covering Computer Networks hacking and security. In this course, I will not only arm my red sword to assist you in testing for penetration, but I will also provide you with the blue shield to assist you in defending your network against attacks.
While it's a bit theoretical, this course does not leave out concrete examples. In the beginning, I will show you the basic concepts of the technology through"Photoshop". I will make the "Photoshop" canvas as simple as I can. Next, I will provide you with a concrete example of an attack against that technology by using"GNS3", the "GNS3" emulator, or a "Cisco Packet Tracer" when appropriate. We will then design the defense mechanism against the attack and ensure we are safe. All the attacks demonstrated during the training can be considered accurate and effective and used in a real-world setting.
The course is divided into two sections:
Here is an outlinefor your course.
What is an introduction, and what is a computer network?
Addresses for IP addresses and MAC addresses
ARP Poisoning and the best way to stop it
What are the functions of a switch? Table for CAM
Table overflow in CAM and how to avoid it
The attack on VLANs and the mitigation they provide
DHCP Rogue or starvation DHCP server. How do you stop them
Wi-Fi-related attacks and how to stop these attacks
After the course, you'll be able to perform every attack and defend your network from attacks.
- Test the penetration of the local network
- Learn about security and mitigation mechanisms to secure the LAN
- Learn more about the way LAN functions work
- Learn to describe network operations using the OSI model.
