What you would learn in Advanced Computer Forensics course?
This course is intended for those with some understanding of computer forensics who wants to dig deeper into the specific skills and methods in this field. We discuss techniques and look at the less unstable or complicated devices to connect to than standard PC acquisition. It is my third and final course following my previous class, Computer Forensics Fundamentals, and Intermediated Computer Forensics. Although these courses are highly recommended, they are not required to attend this class as they are unrelated to covered topics.
Advanced Computer Forensics will provide:
Ram Acquisition and Analysis
Windows Registry Forensics
Network and USB connections
Live Forensic Acquisitions
Search Signatures
Devices that aren't traditional (Internet of things), drones, games systems, drones, and camera systems
In the legal court
The course will comprise lectures to help explain the basics of computer forensics and demonstrations of the proper software and digital evidence. The demonstrations will be conducted using free or open-source software so that students can reproduce the demonstrations on their own. Questions will reinforce the concepts.
This course is intended for those interested in computer forensics to understand the actual digital forensics world better.
